Did you know… swiping doesn’t always have to be about dates and hookups! In fact, I’ve used them to get to know myself better in a kind of Brutally honest way. The encounters- when and if they even happen- can be about friendship, business opportunities (Legit ones! Corporate ones!), or just simple observation.
In this workshop, Akiko will share her experiences manifesting desire into real life- and guide you through the creative process of pairing desire with authentic action to move dreams into reality.
Some of the things we’ll explore:
- How do we see ourselves?
- What do we want?
- How do we talk about ourselves and represent ourselves?
- Creating a new language/story around who we are, what we want, what excites us
- Creating invitations for what we want
The yes/no binary process of swiping helps us to get clarity around what we want and get out of our own way- and quickly. The process allows desire, authenticity, action, and presence to manifest what we want to invite into our lives- whether it’s a relationship, a more fulfilling career, building your dream business, or living more authentically and honouring who you are. This is a practice in saying yes, saying no and taking action.
What to bring:
- Your awesome self!
- Your openness, authenticity, curiosity
- Your desires!
- Current photos of yourself that capture your spirit or doing something you truly love!
- Notebook/paper and something to write with
- Wear something that makes you look and feel great. That means truly good. Wear something you can move around in, and feel comfortable throughout the day.
A note for participants in existing relationships:
If you are in a loving, close relationship (not open to new or outside partners), give your partner(s) a heads up that you will be using a dating app in a workshop as a tool to learn about communication and manifesting dreams. Feel free to show them this page, if it helps.
For people in exclusive relationships who might not want to open an account, I have something for you, too: safe and relationship-honouring ways to engage in this practice!
