Kura Yoga is a combination of different Yoga disciplines customized for Tibetan Monks and practised in Tuva and Western Mongolia.

Khura (Kura) Yoga is an ancient and secretive Yoga practice discipline developed by Tibetan Monks and brought to Mongolia in the 17th century to keep warm during harsh winter temperatures as it is an intense practice. After the Socialism revolution, it almost disappeared due to the destruction of most templates in Mongolia and Tibet. However, a handful of monks kept the knowlage and passed it on strictly to red hat monks. The emphasis is on the fingers and toes especially the pinky finger as it is believed to conn ect directly to the heart.

After the 9 breath Tibetan meditation the practice starts with simple welcoming the Sun positions. It intensifies to positions for strength and balance while swaying on each side. Many positions depict animal movements such as Tiger, Snake, wolf, Yak and Eagle. Basically, it focuses on awareness of pinky pressure, swaying and breathing.
