Mindfulness is the bringing of our whole attention and sensing to the present moment non judgementally. In practice, mindfulness is a dance of remembering and forgetting, drifting and returning. We witness the rhythm of our breath, coming and going of sensations, passing of thoughts and feelings and the spaces between. Our intention is to travel with kindness, planting the seeds of self-compassion as we journey. We play with mindfulness qualities of acceptance, wonder and curiosity. In this field of awareness, we are all beginners.

Early Morning is a particularly potent time to practice as our bodies and minds awaken to the new day.

For our Monday morning session, our intention will be to deepen into mind-body connection and body awareness. Practices will include calming and grounding with loving kindness, mindful movement and yoga, a body-scan, sound awareness, walking meditation, the practice of the half-smile, and mindful sitting in silence.

We will explore Heart Flow synchronising breath with movement deepening into awareness of rhythm and resonance. Our practices will be heart-based and will begin with attuning to our sense of belonging and connection to land, self and community. We will weave in practices of gratefulness, wishing well and compassion.
