This workshop will explore the importance of being kind to ourselves and others. We will look at ways in which we can develop more self-compassion in our every day lives and identify where and how we might not be very kind to ourselves at present - for example, comparing ourselves to others or dwelling on our mistakes.

We will acknowledge that emotions are ‘energy-in-motion’ and will look at ways in which we can self-soothe and regulate if we’re feeling anxious, upset or frustrated. We will discuss how our thoughts impact our body – for example if we feel stressed, we might feel our shoulders creep up by our ears and how the body can be a great resource of information and feedback to let us know how we’re feeling. We will notice how by listening to the body we can spot these signs and then importantly how we can re-orientate ourselves to a state of calm. We will explore how cultivating self-compassion can positively improve our resilience and our ability to cope with external pressure.
