What is post-lineage yoga? And how do we practice it? You are invited to come and explore this creative and empowering response to the present authority crisis in the world of yoga. This is where the political gets personal, and the spiritual get practical.

Post-lineage yoga is a term coined by UK yogini Dr Theodora Wildcroft PhD. We’ll explore her work in this session - learning from some great examples of how we can grow in our yoga connection
• a community of knowledge
• a network of knowing
• an open web of sharing.

Post lineage yoga  is not anti-lineage, it is not no-lineage - it is simply a way to move to a more sustainable structure of authority,  dependent on good community relationships
Postlineage yoga is
• checking and honouring your sources of knowledge rather than simple replication without considering
• honouring one's internal teacher and experience
• network community which enables honest, safe communication to adapt to every individual

Postlineage yoga
• Finds connections rather than offers  an answer
• Democratises knowledge, broadening appeal by opening out to all sections of society.
• Makes practice inclusive.
• Allows all voices to be heard

Come discuss, encounter and consider how to
• value diversity, teach self-agency, honour sources, sustain community

Postlineage yoga is
• an invitation to others to discover themselves through their interactions in a place of safety

Yoga gives us the keys to freedom.  Everybody welcome. This session will include a practice of Total Yoga Nidra, so please bring a shawl or a sarong to cover yourself when you rest.
