TRE ®: Tension & Trauma Release (foundations of Neurogenic Yoga)
TRE® is a simple yet profound Stress Release Tool that reactivates an Innate Healing Mechanism in the body. It is a series of simple exercises that stretch and activate key muscle groups, particularly the psoas muscle, to trigger a natural reflex of shaking and trembling in the body. These Self Induced Therapeutic Tremors (SITT) release excess charge in your nervous system, encouraging your body and mind to return to a state of balance, alignment and harmony.

Ciara will give a brief overview of the most up-to-date understanding of how Stress, Tension and Trauma operate in the Body, Mind and Psyche. Learn about the Innate Healing Capacity of the body and how it is often dampened in our physiology, how it can be switched back on and fostered, to bring more healing, peace, alignment and openness into life!

In this session, you will be taken through the set of 7 simple TRE exercises and experience the practice for yourself. TRE is suitable for all ages and fitness levels and exercises can be adapted to varying body types. Everyone can benefit from TRE® as we all hold tension in our bodies to varying degrees. However, if you are pregnant, have a history of epilepsy, or severe trauma, then it is best not to do TRE in a group setting and discuss with your local TRE provider.
