Landing pads are parts of your body that help you stay cushioned during movement.  Being familiar with these body parts helps you move more gracefully and safely. We will cover where they are and how to use them chronologically. You will get lots of practice with soft transitions with the floor. Knowing which parts of your body can receive more impact helps dancing longevity. This class will be based on the Axis Syllabus.
We will explore using landing pads as a guide for safe movement and full kinetic return potential.

The Axis Syllabus is a collection of information exploring the experience of movement that draws from biomechanics, anatomy, physics, western medical sciences, physiology, anthropology and an expansive collection of empirical knowledge. The syllabus is supported by a matrix of masterful movers that continuously bring fresh research and exchange ideas internationally. Functionally Axis Syllabus acts as a kind of user manual for human movement.
