Black Metal is an extreme subgenre of metal music most often known for fast tempo, shrieking vocals, and heavily distorted guitars; usually focused on hateful and/or extremely dark things. Yoga is known for its light-bringing and spirituality, the word Yoga meaning union, or to join or unite, often interpreted as union with God. Melody believes that we are darkness as well as light and that it is important to recognize both sides of the coin to keep the body and mind balanced.

This class will focus first on a dark aspect of ourselves with a short meditation and then on bringing out the light in us through movement that is the magic of a Vinyasa Yoga practice, all while moving to the dark sounds of underground Black Metal from around the world, followed by a guided meditation to help us heal from our past wounds.
