Brian resides in Nevada City, California where he is considered one of the leaders in the underground West Coast music scene both as a DJ and event producer. Brian’s refined and versatile sound can best be summed up with the phrase “warm, organic, world beats: mostly Latin, African and Caribbean.” Within that description though, his style is eclectic and ranges from sweet dub cumbia, to mid-tempo beats filled with Latin rhythms and African chants to the heartbeat of deep, dub, ethno house. Brian, along with longtime friend and ally Isis Indriya, co-produce HeartBass, a monthly event in Nevada City that has a reputation as one of the most high-vibed underground dance parties on the West Coast. The year 2017 saw Brian playing a wide variety of domestic and international gigs, from Envision in Costa Rica, BaliSpirit Festival, Cosmic Convergence in Guatemala, Air Festival on the Gili Islands and New Earth Festival in Indonesia, to the Oregon Eclipse Gathering, Enchanted Forest, Lightning in a Bottle, California World Fest, Bioneers Conference and Imagine Festival to name just a few. He has provided direct support for iconic live acts such as Dirtwire, LulaCruza, Beats Antique, Les Nubians, Vieux Farka Toure, members of Rising Appalachia, and many others. Brian was an award winning 8th grade Humanities teacher before retiring from teaching to focus on his music career full time.
